Identify the product and the pack
Check that the product name matches what you intend to buy. Desi cow ghee, butter and vegetable cooking fats are different products. Request the ingredient declaration and net weight, then check that the quoted price applies to that exact pack. A jar shown in advertising may not be the pack currently offered.
For a first order, ask for clear photographs of the front, back and base of the current pack. The useful details include the product name, ingredients, allergen statement, batch identification, date marking and storage instructions. Keep the quotation alongside those photographs so you can compare the product received with the product discussed.
Compare the complete cost
Compare like-for-like net weights and include delivery charges in the total. Ask whether a quoted price is for one pack or a group of packs. If a promotion is offered, request its end date and any quantity or destination conditions. A lower advertised starting price is not a complete quotation.
Availability also needs a current answer. A product listed on a website may require a stock check. Confirm the pack, quantity, delivery destination and expected dispatch arrangements before making payment.
Ask for evidence behind sourcing descriptions
Terms such as A2, organic, grass-fed and Bilona describe different things and require their own supporting information. Ask what a claim refers to, which product or batch it covers, and what records support it. Colour, aroma and texture alone do not establish a breed, production method or certification.
